The Rover P5B is one of Britain’s most dignified and charismatic saloons of the 1960s and early 1970s. Introduced in 1967, the “B” denoted the adoption of Rover’s newly acquired 3.5-litre aluminium V8 engine, transforming the already stately P5 into a refined yet surprisingly spirited performer. Favoured by government ministers and even members of the Royal Family, the P5B became a symbol of authority and prestige.
