The Mk2 Triumph 2000, introduced in 1969, brought a fresh, more modern look to Triumph’s successful executive saloon while retaining the smooth six-cylinder performance and refined driving experience that had made the original so popular. Styled by renowned Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti, the Mk2 featured a redesigned front end, improved interior and numerous mechanical refinements. Available as both a saloon and estate, it became a familiar sight as a family car, company vehicle and even in government and police service throughout the 1970s.
Whether finished in a period factory colour or the livery of one of its many fleet operators, this model perfectly reflects the style of Britain’s executive cars during the era.
