Introduced in 1959, the Ford Anglia 105E quickly became one of Britain’s most iconic family cars, renowned for its distinctive reverse-rake rear window and modern styling. Alongside its civilian role, the Anglia also served with police forces across the UK, where its lively 997cc engine, dependable handling and compact size made it well suited to urban patrols, traffic duties and rural policing alike. Finished in traditional police livery and equipped with period warning equipment, the Anglia became a familiar sight on Britain’s roads throughout the 1960s.
